Signs Plus has over 25 years of experience having started in 1992 in the heart of Swan Hill, Victoria by a former electronics technician and school teacher, Stephen Dyer.

Passing the Baton: Signs Plus Welcomes a New Generation We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in the history of Signs Plus. After more than 30 years of dedication and innovation, our founder, Stephen Dyer, is proudly passing the baton to the next generation. His sons, Eric Dyer and Kirk Dyer, who have grown up in the business, are now taking ownership and leading Signs Plus into the future. Our Family Legacy Signs Plus was founded in 1992 by Stephen Dyer in Swan Hill, Victoria. Over the years, Stephen has built a strong and reputable business known for its quality, durability, and innovation. His passion and expertise have laid a solid foundation for the next generation. Eric and Kirk, along with their brothers, have been involved in Signs Plus from a young age, starting with simple tasks like cleaning and ‘vinyl weeding.’ They have since grown into key roles, bringing fresh perspectives and new skills to the business.

Eric Dyer: After completing his schooling, Eric pursued a sign writing apprenticeship within the family business. He later earned a diploma in Graphic Design and ran a successful design and signage business in Bendigo. Returning to Signs Plus, Eric has been instrumental in expanding the name badge department and driving business growth.
Kirk Dyer: With a Bachelor of Industrial Design, Kirk gained valuable experience in the automotive industry before rejoining Signs Plus in 2017. He has played a crucial role in enhancing the company’s web presence and improving business management systems, including the transition away from legacy accounting software, which we recently detailed in our article Moving from MYOB to Xero.

Eric and Kirk feel blessed by their father's creation of such a fantastic and dynamic business that has been a perfect fit for their curious and creative minds. They are committed to continuing the family tradition, ensuring Signs Plus's growth, providing exceptional service to customers, and helping them build their brands. Stephen’s New Chapter Stephen will remain an integral part of the business, providing valuable advisory support to ensure a smooth transition. However, with more time on his hands, Stephen is excited to continue to pursue his passion for 360-degree photography and astrophotography. Our digital printed signs are printed with genuine eco solvent inks and UV laminated to last in Australia's tough conditions. Our quality control systems ensure great workmanship and consistency. Alongside high-quality signage, we design custom media walls for brands that enhance visibility at events and promotions. Each solution is tailored to reflect the brand and deliver strong visual impact, developed in close collaboration with clients for any environment.

EXPERIENCED & QUALIFIED TEAM
Our team is comprised of qualified signwriters, an industrial designer, a graphic designer and we have over 80 years of combined experience. We excel at designing and producing highly customized products.

ADVANCED EQUIPMENT
We use the latest high quality Roland printers, specialised lasers, engravers and much more. Some of our manufacturing equipment is completely designed and manufactured in house for specific tasks.

Qualified & Experienced Team

Design work is carried out in house, we employ qualified graphic designers, a web designer and experienced photographers on staff. We also have a small equipped studio for product photography and specialized manufacturing equipment. We have clients throughout Australia, including over 150 Shire Councils, over 600 Schools and Universities and many National and Multinational Companies.

ERIC DYER
Eric completed a sign writing apprenticeship and also holds a Diploma of Graphic Design. He has risen through the ranks or birthright and is now the manager.
He also loves fishing with his daughters and family.

BRAYDEN ROSE
Brayden started as apprentice and is now a fully qualified sign writer. He's great at manufacturing and may or may not have OCD given his track record for organising things.
RUSSELL SINGH
With a Certificate IV in Graphic Pre-Press, plus a Diploma in Interactive Digital Media, a Diploma of Computer Engineering and a qualified Chef. He'll cook up the best key tags and ID cards all with a friendly smile.
KIRK DYER
Kirk holds a Bachelor of Industrial Design with honours. As a qualified designer he is responsible for much of the graphic design, web design and branding work.
An avid traveller that loves everything about design.
ROBYN STANYER
Our financial accounts manager, Robyn has amazing customer service skills and is always very efficient in her work.
A proud mum of four great kids and a great cook.
DOLORES CLARKE
Dolores is responsible for production, quality checks and shipping of name badges.
A keen walker and health fanatic you'll see her out and about in Swan Hill.
JOEL BILLMAN-REEVE
The apprentice, the helper, the pull up banner expert and all round great guy. Joel is responsible for much of the sign production. When he's not at work, you'll find him buried in the latest medieval fantasy novel.

The founder of Signs Plus with a passion for the technical side of things. Steve is responsible for much of the specialised manufacturing processes that we employ. A keen photographer and proud grandfather.

SIMON NOLEN
Simon is part of our name badge department and is responsible for much of the badge production from the layout to print. Heâ€™s most valued though as our chief spell checker and grammer expert.
A proud father and tabletop gamer.
MICHAEL OOSTERLAAK
With a Bachelor of Computing, Michael is responsible for the highly technical job of running the engraving equipment and creating custom macros for our production software. Heâ€™s also a keen gardner and grows tasty beetroot.

Mark has been with us for over 20 years and now manages the name badge department. Always great with customer service and meeting deadlines. Not only does he make a wide variety of badges, but also breeds champion budgies.
